Our Story
Capulines Ag Solutions was an idea that started back in 2021 when Mike was working at a commercial fruit growing orchard doing squirrel and gopher eradication.
After research and much planning they started the business in 2022.
The name Capulines is derived from Mikes families ranch in Mexico and
the logo was created by their daughter Lauren.
Mike and Jodi Aceves are ag / farm based life-long members of Siskiyou County.
They have committed to serve the community not only with their businesses
but also as volunteers in various worthwhile groups within the county.
When you have a nuisance issue with wildlife
it can be a daunting problem.

Jodi Aceves
Senior Deputy Agriculture Commissioner/Sealer, Siskiyou County Department of Agriculture
Jodi grew up on her pioneering family’s ranch in far Northern California minutes South of the
Oregon border and North of Mt. Shasta in the Cascade Mountains raising Sheep, Cattle, Hay and Grain.
She has worked at the Siskiyou County Department of Agriculture for 26 years and has
collaborated on numerous research and agricultural projects with many Local, State and Federal
agencies and groups including the University of California Cooperative Extension, US Forest
Service and the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Siskiyou County Department of
Agriculture Program responsibilities and management responsibilities have included: County/State
and Federal Law/Code/Regulation/Ordinance enforcement in Agriculture programs, Pesticide
Enforcement, Pest Eradication, Pest Detection, Pest Exclusion, Pest Management, Invasive
Species/Vegetation Management, Nursery, Biological Control, Quarantine, Insect Trapping, Seed,
Weights & Measures, Apiary, Animal Control, Administrative (Civil Penalties) Hearing Officer,
Emergency Management implementation, programing and preparation (NIMS/SIMS/ICS), she
also serves as the Chair of the Siskiyou County Weed Management Area.
In addition to her Agriculture Commissioner and Sealer Licenses, she has a Qualified Applicators
Certificate from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation and the following California
Department of Food and Agriculture Licenses: Pesticide Regulation; Pest Prevention and Plant
Regulation; Integrated Pest Management; Investigation and Environmental Monitoring;
Commodity Regulation; Weight Verification; Measurement Verification; Transaction and Product
Verification; Deputy Agriculture Commissioner License and Deputy Weights and Measures.
Jodi received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science from California State University
Chico. She was the Livestock Advisor and 4-H Youth Advisor for Oklahoma State University
Cooperative Extension before returning to Siskiyou County, California,
where she was a 4-H Leader for many years.
She is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Capulines Ag Solutions and also
Co-Owner of Purrfect Paws Pet Crematory (an animal cremation facility).

Mike Aceves
Mike Aceves is the co-owner of Capulines Ag Solutions. Mike has lived in Siskiyou County for over 45 years, having been born and raised in Tulelake, on the east side of Siskiyou County. Twenty years ago he moved to the Shasta Valley where he lives on the family ranch with his wife Jodi and daughter Lauren.
Mike has been a part of the agriculture industry his whole life and received a Bachelors of Science Degree
in Agriculture Business from Chico State University. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in dealing with differing kinds of wildlife especially gophers and ground squirrels. Capulines Ag. Solutions
was established in 2022 as a nuisance wildlife pest control business specializing in controlling skunks, raccoons, opossums, ground squirrels and gophers in all types of settings, including residential,
forest, rangeland, croplands and wildlands. He is a llicensed trapper with the
State of California Fish and Wildlife Department.
Being an agricultural based business, Capulines Ag Solutions is branching into custom tractor work
(discing, mowing, gravel spreading, etc.). Mike has a deep understanding of machinery and is skilled
in its uses. Mike loves owning and running this family owned business that has deep ties to the
Shasta Valley and he has a passion for the agriculture industry.
He and his wife are also co–owners of Purrfect Paws Pet Crematory.
